‘Anywhere they are, they will be proud of me’: Nigerian player Ahmed Musa renovates boyhood school and names it after his late parents

Nigerian forward Ahmed Musa has named an ultra-modern school in his community after his late parents.

According to the Nigerian captain, he learned that the school was about to be sold and thus decided to purchase it. To him, the goal was to turn it into one of the best schools in his community.

Ahmed Musa, who has four World Cup goals, lost his mother in 2019. His father died when he was only seven years old.

In an interview with Sports brief , he stated:

“I decided to buy it, take it down and do what you saw over there. I did that to ensure the poor also get to feel the kind of educational system the rich gets. That is why I made sure it is the best school in my community and even the state.”

“All that came to my head was to name it after my parents, because they are late and anywhere they are, they will be proud of me.”

The Super Eagles player posted photos of his newly constructed school building on social media:
