Man United set to hijack Arsenal’s pursuit of Adrien Rabiot, as they did with Lisandro Martinez

According to The Athletic, Manchester United are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The midfielder is a target for both Manchester United and Arsenal. The Gunners want to strengthen their midfield in order to finish in the top four and possibly challenge for the Premier League.

Adrien Rabiot’s contract expires in a year, and “the old lady’s” are willing to sell. Arsenal has been monitoring the situation, but Manchester United is planning to hijack the deal, as they did with Lisandro Martinez.

According to the Guardian, United and Juventus have agreed to a £15 million initial fee for his services.

Mikel Arteta has already spent over £100 million in this current window as he seeks to strengthen his midfield pivot. Rabiot is a top target but with United in the mix, the Gunners are unlikely to get him.
