The Gunners were said to be interested in the Ukrainian this summer, but Shakhtar’s initial asking price of €100 million made a deal difficult.
Mudryk has previously stated that he would love to join Arsenal and was disappointed in Shakhtar for asking such a high price for him. Because he believes it will discourage interest from top European clubs.

However, the Mirror reports that Shakhtar have privately reduced their asking price and are now willing to accept a deal worth around £40 million.
This means that the 21-year-old can finally make his dream move. Despite the fact that other clubs are interested in him, Arsenal are the clear favourites as he seeks to reunite with fellow Ukrainian Zinchenko.
