Technical Director, Edu is adamant that if Hector Bellerin decides to cancel his contract, Arsenal won’t stop him.
The 27-year-contract old’s at the Emirates Stadium expires in less than a year, but he is hoping to secure a return to the Benito Villamarin Stadium after a productive loan stint there last season.
Bellerin wants to permanently join Real Betis, but the club hasn’t agreed to pay what Arsenal is demanding.

To make his “dream move” to Real Betis a reality, Bellerin is ready to end his contract 11 months early, forgo his remaining pay, and save Arsenal some £5 million, claims Spanish publication BeSoccer.
Cancelling player contracts and failing to receive a transfer fee have become a recurring theme for Arsenal since Edu returned to the club as technical director in the summer of 2019.

Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Sokratis, Shkodran Mustafi, Sead Kolasinac, and Willian have all experienced this.
If Bellerin gets his way and is released from his Arsenal contract to become a free agent, he’ll almost certainly have to take a pay cut to join Real Betis. According to Spotrac, he is currently earning £110,000 per week.
