Arsenal defender, Takehiro Tomiyasu, has been named to Japan’s World Cup squad for 2022.

Since joining from Bologna last season, the versatile defender has been outstanding. In comparison to how Mikel Arteta plays, he has become a much more reliable player.

Tomiyasu can play both fullback and centre back. As a result, Kieran Tierney has been having difficulty starting games recently.

Tomiyasu’s performance has earned him a spot on his national team for this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
