Palace play entertaining, free-flowing football and clearly outplayed Arsenal last season. Arsenal earned one point from two League meetings with Palace, losing 3-0 at Selhurst Park and drawing 1-1 at the Emirates.

Arsenal has only won one of the last eight meetings. However, there is no doubt that Arsenal have had a fantastic transfer window and a near-perfect pre-season to prepare for this match.

Vieira prefers big, tough players who bully their opponents, and his record of not conceding at home in their last six competitive games demonstrates that his tactics are effective.
