Arsenal go 8 points clear of Manchester City despite goalless draw with Newcastle United

Mikel Arteta’s men are currently 8 points ahead of Manchester City after playing a 0-0 draw at home to Newcastle.

Arsenal will be slightly disappointed as they could have extended their lead over City to 10 points. But Newcastle’s defensive setup made it difficult for Arsenal to find easy openings.

The Gunners had a penalty call denied on Gabriel Magalhaes after his shirt was pulled by in the box by a Newcastle defender.

Eddie Nketia also had a great opportunity to win it for Arsenal in the dying minutes of the game but his shot was stopped by Nick Pope.
