According to FootballTransfers, Thomas Partey has informed Arteta that he wishes to leave due to concerns he might not be a first-team regular next season.
Partey was crucial to Arsenal’s title push, but a slump in form near the conclusion of the season saw him lose his place to Jorginho; with the Gunners eventually finishing second, 5 points behind eventual winners Manchester City.
With Declan Rice on the way, Partey’s chances of playing frequently are minimal. Juventus and a few of Saudi clubs have expressed interest in Partey, but Arteta will only sell Thomas for the right price.
Southampton’s Romeo lavia has been identified as the Ghanaian international’s replacement.
