The defender had been heavily linked with a move away from the club, but signing a new contract puts those rumors to rest.
The 18-year-old was a member of England’s under-19 squad that won the European Championship in June. He is expected to be loaned out again because he is not yet ready to play for Arteta’s first team.

He had previously been on loan to Lincoln City in League One, where he appeared in 17 games and scored once.
