Patino came on in the 70th minute of Blackpool’s 2-0 loss to Stoke. Despite the fact that Blackpool lost, his poise on the ball impressed coach Michael Appleton.
He not only drew the attention of the coach, but also of the fans. As a result, they composed a song specifically for him.
Fans chanted in the song, ‘He’s Charlie Patino, He knew the place to go, Even though he’d never seen, The boys in Tangerine.’
