Chelsea have talked about using Marcos Alonso as part of a part-exchange deal to sign Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Thomas Tuchel is desperate to bolster his frontline after Romelu Lukaku returned to Inter Milan on a season-long loan earlier this summer.

Aubameyang joined Barcelona in the January transfer window after his contract with Arsenal expired, and he’s scored 11 goals in 13 appearances for the Catalans.

However, the arrival of Robert Lewandowski has pushed Aubameyang down the pecking order, while Barcelona is desperate to raise funds to alleviate their financial woes.

Barcelona is seeking around £21 million for Aubameyang, who is willing to return to London.
