AS Roma are considering loaning Ghanaian teen Felix Afena-Gyan to rivals Sassuolo ahead of the new season.

The 19-year-old signed a four-year contract during the summer transfer window, but his chances of making the first team appear slim. And, given the relationship between the two clubs, it appears that the young forward will be joining Sassuolo.
Following the arrivals of Inaki Williams and Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, Felix Afena-Gyan will be vying for a spot in Ghana’s World Cup squad in Qatar in 2022. Regular playing time will be critical to his inclusion.
Jose Mourinho promoted the teen sensation to the first team last year, and he had a breakout season.

In November 2022, he made his Serie A debut against Cagliari before scoring his first two goals in a win over Genoa.
