The 19-year-old signed a four-year contract during the summer transfer window, but his chances of making the first team appear slim. And, given the relationship between the two clubs, it appears that the young forward will be joining Sassuolo.

Following the arrivals of Inaki Williams and Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, Felix Afena-Gyan will be vying for a spot in Ghana’s World Cup squad in Qatar in 2022. Regular playing time will be critical to his inclusion.

Jose Mourinho promoted the teen sensation to the first team last year, and he had a breakout season.

Following interest from Crystal Palace and Serie A clubs, AS Roma rewarded the youngster with a new long-term contract.
