The £45 million signing from Manchester City has had a productive pre-season, scoring seven goals, including two on debut and a hat-trick in Sunday’s 6-0 thrashing of Sevilla.

He is one of five forwards who cost £8 million to begin their FPL careers, less than Harry Kane and Erling Haaland, who cost £11.5 million each, and Cristiano Ronaldo, who costs £10.5 million.

Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Chelsea’s German stars Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, and Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino are the other forwards who cost £8 million.

Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and Liverpool stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah are also popular choices.
