‘God is wonderful, this is just the beginning’: Marquinhos promises fans to expect more from him after scoring debut goal

Arsenal winger Marquinhos took to social media to express his joy after scoring his first senior goal for the club.

Marquinhos, 19, scored as Arsenal defeated FC Zurich 2-1 on Thursday. In addition, he assisted Eddie Nketiah. His performance on Thursday was outstanding, with club legend Martin Keown comparing him to Serge Gnabry.

Arsenal had intended to loan him out to help him develop further. However, after failing to sign their top transfer targets during the transfer window, the club decided to keep him.

Marquinhos is currently Arsenal’s only player who competes directly with Bukayo Saka. He posted the following on Instagram:
