Martin Odegaard has labelled his time at Madrid ‘a good one’ but insists he was ‘happy to leave.’
The Norwegian joined Arsenal in 2021 permanently after an initial loan spell with the club.
He has gone on to become a vital part of Arteta’s team since his move to the Emirates.
As quoted by AS this is what he said about his move from Madrid to Arsenal:
“My time in Madrid was good. “It was a positive stage. I have learned to mature and it has been a great learning experience, but I needed to play more.”
“I am happy with the decision to leave and with how the race went. If I had not gone through Madrid I would not have reached the level I have today. Madrid is the biggest club in the world and the pressure there is too.”
