After Charlotte FC’s preseason victory over the English giants, veteran Ghanaian midfielder Harrison Afful swapped jerseys with England and Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling.

In a pre-season friendly in the United States, the former Columbus Crew right-back shone as the Major League Soccer club defeated Chelsea on penalties.

Following the game, the 2014 Ghana World Cup squad member interacted with the English winger, swapping jerseys.

Afful was substituted in the 82nd minute of the match against Chelsea at Bank of America Park.

After an hour, American winger Christian Pulisic broke the game’s deadlock, but Daniel Rios’ last-minute strike forced the game into penalties.

Conor Gallagher of Chelsea missed a penalty kick as the MLS side won the game.

After leaving the Major League Champions Columbus Crew, Harrison Afful joined Charlotte FC.
