Pep Guardiola praised Gabriel Martinelli after his performance against Manchester City yesterday.

The Gunners were defeated by the reigning league champions by a single goal in a game that was evenly contested.

In the second half, Arteta replaced Trossard with Martinelli, who made a series of impressive runs.

Pep spoke to the media following the game:

‘Yeah good, but Martinelli is an incredible weapon. Odegaard comes on and they play in the pockets, they are a really good team, otherwise they could not be where they are.’

‘They are agrressive, they know exactly what they have to do. The little details they control really well, but in the end we played a good game.’
