Gabriel Magalhaes recently signed a new contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2027. Arteta and Edu decided to reward the Brazilian after his outstanding season thus far.
Despite his talent, Magalhaes is prone to errors. He’s made crucial errors in games, but thankfully none of them have cost Arsenal points.

Noel Whelan believes Evan Ndicka’s signing will serve as a wake-up call for Gabriel Magalhaes.
He said, via Just Arsenal:
“I think sometimes bringing in another player can add strength and quality, first and foremost. But it can also give some players, like Gabriel in this case, that kick up the backside they need.”
“I’m not saying Gabriel is complacent, but we’ve seen a couple of mistakes creeping into his game now.“Someone else like Ndicka coming in to share that load and spur him on could cut those out.”
