Arsenal fans and some English fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure that Gavi won the Ballon d’Or Trophee Kopa award over Saka.

Saka had a fantastic season last season, becoming the Gunners’ top scorer and winning back-to-back Arsenal player of the year awards.

His performances for the England national team earned him the ‘England player of the year (21/22)’ award. He featured in 20 games for the Three Lions, scoring four goals and assisting on two others.

When comparing the two players, Gavi had 6 goals and 4 assists in 47 games. In 47 games, Bukayo Saka had 13 goals and 7 assists. It’s no surprise that some fans are enraged.
