Dwight Yorke, Manchester United legend, has urged Erik ten Hag to sign Arsenal’s Thomas Partey.

Arsenal have apparently given Partey permission to speak with interested clubs, including Juventus and a few of Saudi clubs.

Arsenal are willing to let the 30-year-old leave for a reasonable fee. The club has already agreed terms with Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, and Timber.

With Arsenal Willing to sell, Dwight Yorke feels Partey joining Manchester United will make the team ‘better’.

He said, via Metro:

“Thomas Partey wouldn’t be a bad signing for Man United. But it depends on whether Mikel Arteta changes his formation to 4-2-3-1 where he has two defensive midfielders where both Declan Rice and Partey can play together.

“Having a player like Partey makes Man United or Arsenal more adaptable.”

“The whole point in a tactical approach is that we don’t know what the opposing manager has planned before the game or season, so Arteta might figure a way out to play both Rice and Partey.”

“The competition is healthy for the squad, you need players competing with each other every day in training and it builds a hunger in the team.”
