Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has revealed he never enjoyed watching Arsenal games during the latter years of Arsene Wenger.
The icon stated he only went to games because he had to and not because he wanted to. Arsenal under Arsene (letter years) were under a mess and slumped even further after he left.
The arrival of Unai Emery was just a temporary fix until the appointment of current coach Mikel Arteta. Arsenal have now found thier identify under the Spaniard.
Henry speaking with The Rest is Football podcast said:
“Five years ago I couldn’t relate to the team.“I just couldn’t. I was going to the games because I had to not because I wanted to.”
“It was just because I was an Arsenal fan not as I wanted to see them play. But now I can see what they’re about.”
