‘I wanted Manchester United to buy him’: Rio Ferdinand finally admits he wanted Partey at Manchester United amid Casemiro comparisons

Rio Ferdinand, Manchester United legend, has admitted that he wanted the Red Devils to sign Thomas Partey before the Ghanaian joined Arsenal in the summer of 2020.

On the Vibe with FIVE podcast, the former England international admitted that Partey is a top player and that he holds high regard for the midfielder.

While expressing his admiration for Partey, he alluded to previous episodes of the show in which he stated that he wanted Partey at Manchester United before Arsenal snatched him up.

He Said via HITC:

‘I rate Partey. I mean, if you go back to some of the clips that we have had here, I have done clips here before he went to Arsenal even where I was saying Man United should sign Partey.’

“I genuinely believe he is a top player but if you keep mentioning Casemiro, I don’t think it will be fair on him.”
