Takehiro Tomiyasu, Japanese footballer and Arsenal right back, has vowed to work harder in order to reclaim his place in Arteta’s starting eleven.

Tomiyasu, who was signed last year, has been brought in as a right back. He easily adapted to the league due to his versatile nature. The Japanese can also play center back.

He was an automatic starter after joining from Serie A side Bologna for £18 million on transfer deadline day last summer. However, due to injuries, he has lost his starting spot to Ben White.

White, who is not a natural fullback, has performed admirably in the role. Takehiro Tomiyasu has been vocal about his inability to play. He stated, as quoted by Football London:

“What is required in this league is quite high and I’m not satisfied. When you look at the players selected as starters in the Premier League games, you will understand what is required to be there. I will work hard in order to get my position back.”
