‘I’m pretty sure I should have had a penalty, he’s coming with his studs right on my ankle’: Odegaard fumes at referee’s decision to allow play to continue following Rodri’s horror tackle on him

Arsenal and Norway skipper Martin Odegaard was left fuming after his national side lost 3-0 to Spain in their Euro qualifiers match yesterday.

This comes after the referee failed to punish Rodri following his horrific tackle on Odegaad.

Rodri took out the Arsenal skipper inside the box while attempting to prevent Odegaard’s shot. The referee, though, allowed play to continue.

Odegaard was clearly baffled by the decision and expressed his displeasure after the game.

He told TV2, via Metro:

I’m pretty sure I should have had a penalty. He’s coming with his studs right on my ankle. But I’m sure I’ll get punished.

I don’t bother saying anything else about the referee. It’s better not to say anything.
