Marseille boss Igor Tudor has explained why he banished Nuno Tavares from training last week.

This follows a report from the French sports newspaper L’Équipe, which conducted an interview with Tudor on Wednesday.
During the interview, Tudor revealed that a player had been sent back to the locker room because he “was not making the necessary efforts.”
He said:
In my football, there is a feature, you have to run. And if you don’t… If I see one player that doesn’t run in training, I’ll say it once, twice and then on the third time of asking, I’ll intervene.”

Although the player’s name was not named during the interview, L’Équipe has now revealed the player’s name (Tavares).
