When Tierney learned of Martin Odegaard’s £4 million per season salary, he exclaimed, “f***ing hell.” The Norwegian wonderkid joined the Gunners on a permanent basis in a £30 million deal from Real Madrid last season.
His big money move was influenced by his impressive loan spell the previous season, during which he established himself as one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players.
In 36 Premier League appearances for Arteta’s side, the 23-year-old scored seven goals and provided four assists, earning him the honour of becoming the club’s next permanent captain.

Odegaard’s impressive pay package, on the other hand, surprised Tierney, and the Scottish international wasted no time in letting him know.
In the first episode of All or Nothing, Tierney said:
Good to be back bro, I heard what wages you were getting and I thought f***ing hell.
