Kierney has reacted to Oleksandr Zinchenko’s arrival in this transfer window.
The Scotsman is still Arsenal’s main left-back, but he is prone to injury and misses many games each season. This has forced the Gunners to spend money on a new defender in each of the last two summers.
Arsenal have added Nuno Tavares to their group before last season, and Zinchenko will be Tierney’s new competition this season.
While Tavares struggled and was loaned out, Zinchenko is a seasoned Premier League player who won numerous trophies at Manchester City before joining Arsenal
Tierney will face stiffer competition from the Ukrainian, but the former Celtic man says he doesn’t expect anything different because Arsenal is a top club.
