Marquinhos is set to leave Arsenal on loan this summer, with the club wanting for him to gain more regular playing experience before competing with the first-team.
The Brazilian came from Sao Paulo this summer in a £3 million move, and has spent pre-season with the team on their US tour, where he has played against some elite sides.
Despite his enormous potential, he is anticipated to be permitted to leave on loan, just like in William Saliba’s case. Saliba has had three successful loan periods in Ligue 1 and is now judged ready to take up a place in the first-team this season.
The Mirror does not specify where the 18-year-old will play next season, but expects him to spend some years on loan until he is deemed ready.
It should come as no surprise that not everyone entering from Brazil at the age of 18 can hope to make the same impact as Gabriel Martinelli.
