Arsenal is on a winning streak after defeating Aston Villa 2-1 yesterday. With the victory, Arsenal has now won five consecutive games.
They are the only team in the league to have a perfect record. Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus scored in each half to keep Arsenal’s perfect start to the season intact.
Despite the Gunners’ strong start, Keown believes it is too early to declare Arsenal a title contender.
On BT-Sport he said ( via Metro ):
“It’s a fantastic run Arsenal are on at the moment. I really enjoyed the character and personality they showed tonight.”
“It’s step by step with this Arsenal team. It’s so early in the season, it’s ridiculous [to call them title contenders]. It’s a new team but hopefully it’s the start of something special.”
