Gabriel Martinelli is still in disbelief as to how he was sent-off in wolves encounter back in February.
The forward was the most recent guest on Ian Wright’s podcast ‘Wrighty’s House‘, where he discussed a contentious moment in his career.

Martinelli had a breakout season last year, contributing 12 goal involvements in 29 league appearances.
While there have been many highlights in his brief career, the previous campaign saw one particularly low moment for the forward. He received a red card during a 1-0 win over Wolves in February.

Martinelli in an attempt to stop a counter attack pushed the holder of the ball but this didn’t work. He eventually tracked down and player and ‘took him out’. The Brazilian received a booking for each incident.
Ian Wright discussing the faithful day on his Podcast made the remarks:
You know what was really funny? I’ve got to say the Wolves game, you know the sending off?
In the space of like 10 seconds my man got sent off. I was watching on the television and when it happened.
It was so crazy! Could you believe it yourself?
Martinelli then adds:
Everybody asks me this and I can’t explain it.
I couldn’t believe it, I didn’t know what to say, I was like ‘what?’ He gave me three cards, he goes one, two and then red. Three cards

Even though it was a terrible scenario at the time, the two could look back on it and laugh at how ridiculous everything was.
Martinelli hopes to duplicate many things from the previous season in the upcoming one, but that particular incident definitely won’t be one of them.
