After an outstanding season last season, the lanky forward was on the radar of several clubs, including Boro, who appeared to be interested in signing him.

Middlesborough manager Chris Wilder has identified the Bristol City forward as one of his targets to bolster his attack ahead of the season’s start.

Semenyo, who is currently injured, scored eight goals and provided 12 assists in the Championship last season.

His outstanding performances earned him his first call-up to Ghana’s national team, where he made his debut against Madagascar in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
