Head coach Mikel Arteta has backed David Raya following his costly mistake against Lens in the Champions League.
Arsenal slumped to a 2-1 defeat away to Lens in the Champions League despite taking an early lead.

The Spanish international attempt to clear the ball backfired as it was cleverly picked out for Lens equaliser.
Speaking to the press after the game, Arteta stated:
“This happens. Mistakes are part of football. They will continue to be there somehow. The difference was in both boxes but especially in Champions League, you don’t generate ten clear-cut chances in the Champions League.
When you get there, you have to put the ball into the back of the net and you have to defend the box better than we have done.”
