Former Gunner NACHO MONREAL has announced his retirement from football at the age 36

At the age of 36, Nacho Monreal has declared his retirement from football. His nine-year Arsenal career saw the Spain international make 251 appearances while winning three FA Cups with the club.

In 2019, he moved from Arsenal to Real Sociedad, where he won the Copa del Rey and missed the entire 2021–22 season due to a knee injury.

Monreal also stayed stoic in his choice to retire, although acknowledging that his knee had driven him out of the game.

Prior to joining the Premier League, Monreal began his career with Osasuna and Malaga and earned 22 appearances for Spain.
