Arsenal loanee Nuno Tavares, has been named to the Ligue 1 team of the week.
This comes after the Portuguese defender made an impressive debut for Marseille, scoring in a 4-1 victory over Reims. This will be a great boost for Tavares as he seeks to impress Arteta.

Arsenal signed him as a replacement for Kieran Tierney, but he hasn’t been much of a cover. His offensive abilities are strong, but his defensive abilities needs improvement.
Technically, he is still an Arsenal player, and if he maintains his consistency, it will only be a matter of time before he returns to the Emirates as a regular starter.
