Highly regarded goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo will be joining Crewe Alexandra on loan in the aim of gaining crucial playing time.
Although the shot-stopper has previously played for England Under-18, he has yet to make his senior club or national team debut.

Last season, Okonkwo was Arsenal’s third-choice goalkeeper, behind Bernd Leno and Aaron Ramsdale. But as the new season approaches, he has fallen further down the pecking order as a result of Matt Turner’s arrival earlier this summer.

Okonkwo is well-liked in north London, but when given first-team opportunities in preseason the year before, he showed his inexperience. This loan move may be the turning point in his career.
