The Gunners have a perfect record this season, having defeated Crystal Palace and Leicester City in their first two games. Arsenal defeated the Eagles on the first day of the season, thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and an own goal from Marc Guehi.
The Eagles earned their first points of the season with a 1-1 draw against Liverpool last night, and Vieira will no doubt be hoping his team’s schedule eases up in the coming weeks.

In response to Palace’s difficult start, Vieira predicted that Arsenal would challenge for the title. He said:
When you look at the number of points, of course playing against two teams who are fighting to win the Premier League, is always going to be challenging.
But i’m more interested in the performances and I think today we showed character, the personality, we showed a lot of discipline and that will help us to win football matches.
Of course the game against Arsenal especially in the second half was a good performance. I believe overall that we are on the right path.
