UK Police are planning a “raid” on 1,000 homes this week in an effort to crack down on illegal Premier League streams, according to the Mirror.

This follows West Mercia Police raids on a UK-based illegal streaming service that offers entertainment and sports via modified boxes also referred to as “Fire sticks”.

‘Operation Raider’, a joint taskforce of the police and anti-piracy investigators from FACT, will knock on doors and serve notices to ‘suspected’ individuals ordering them to stop immediately; and warning them of serious consequences if they continue to watch.

The move is supported by major organizations like the Premier League and broadcasters such as Sky, BT Sport, and Amazon.
