Martinelli played 21 games in the previous season, recording six assists and six goals. For a 21-year-old, this is not a terrible record. The Brazilian has already scored twice in two games this season.

Hence, it is not surprising to hear Rio Ferdinand laud him and draw comparisons to Luis Suarez.

Speaking on Vibe with Five, Ferdinand said:

Martinelli, if he stays fit, this guy, I’ve told you this before what Arteta told me, he could be the next Suarez-type player.

Even Brendan Rodgers, I was interested in Brenden Rodgers’ comments, he said that Arsenal have gone up a level with their additions, so it looks positive with you guys.
