In yesterday’s match against Crystal Palace, French defender William Saliba was named man-of-the-match.

It is the Frenchman’s first appearance for Arsenal since signing in 2019. Arsenal signed Saliba from Saint-Etienne for around £30 million, but the French defender did not play for the team.
Instead, he’s been on loan for the past two years. It’s safe to say that Arsenal’s decision to loan him out paid off, as the Frenchman has returned much better than he was in 2019. And he was named MOTM in his first league game as a Gunner.
Saliba made seven clearances, won three duels, and had a 93.9 percent passing accuracy.
