Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu , gets off to the worst start in the 2022–23 English Premier League after scoring an odd own goal against Southampton.

After 62 minutes, the 23-year-old converted an Emerson cross into his own goal to give Spurs a bigger lead.

In a video shared on social media, the left-footed center-back scored an own goal after being slow to react to a middle-field error.

After overcoming an early goal from James Ward-Prowse in the 12th minute, Tottenham now leads 4-1. Prior to Eric Dier’s headed goal ten minutes later, Ryan Sessegnon had brought Spurs’ score to 2-2.
