‘You couldn’t believe it’: Emile Smith Rowe reveals Reiss Nelson was the best youth player at Hale End

Reiss Nelson was the star performer during his Arsenal youth career, according to Emile Smith Rowe.

The two standout players to emerge from the Hale End academy recently are Smith Rowe and the club’s two-time player of the year Bukayo Saka. Rowe and Saka combined for 21 goals last season in the EPL.

The teenage midfielder has now acknowledged that Nelson was in fact the ‘scene-stealer’ during his youthful years in north London.

Smith Rowe responded when the Vibe with Five YouTube channel asked who the outstanding young athlete was:

Nelson spent the previous season on loan with Dutch team PSV before making a preseason trip back to the Emirates Stadium earlier this summer.
