Rio Ferdinand, ex-Manchester United player, claims his former side has had a much better season than Arsenal, who finished second.
Arsenal spent several months at the top of the Premier League and were on course to win their first EPL trophy since the Invincibles season.
However, a succession of bad performances in their last seven games saw them collapse to second, surrendering the title to City.
For United, they gained Champions League football after finishing fourth, in addition to winning the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils are also in the FA Cup finals. And, according to Ferdinand, that’s a ‘much better season’ than Arsenal’s.
He said on his YouTube channel:
“Have Man United had a better season than Arsenal? If you were just laying it down and saying if you’re a player, do you want to finish fourth and win a trophy, whatever trophy that is, or third and win a trophy and qualify for the Champions League, or second, no trophy but be involved in the title race?”
“I’m only taking the trophy and whatever position I finish, to finish in the Champions League, that’s it. That’s a more successful season.”
