Serbian FA President Nenad Bjekovic has made a startling statement claiming Dusan Vlahovic is superior than Norwegian star Erling Haaland because he is “more complete”.
Haaland made the sensational transfer from Borussia Dortmund to the Etihad this summer for £51 million, and everyone anticipates him to succeed there.
Meanwhile, Vlahovic reportedly turned down an offer from Arsenal to join Juventus on a four-year contract in January for £62 million.
Last season, Haaland lit up the Bundesliga with 27 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions, while Vlahovic only managed 29 in 45 games for Fiorentina and Juventus.
Despite Haaland’s superior scoring ratio, Bjekovic believes his countryman has the edge.
Speaking to Tuttosport, this is what he said:
Vlahovic is better and more complete than Haaland. The Norwegian has devastating power, but Dusan is not inferior: there is also very little difference in their height
But the Juventus forward’s variety and styles of player is better. Manchester City and Juventus paid more or less the same fee, including commissions, to sign the two this year from Borussia Dortmund and Fiorentina.
