Fatma Samoura, FIFA’s Senegalese secretary general, has vowed to go to any length to ensure Sadio Mane’s participation in the World Cup.

Mane suffered an injury in Bayern Munich’s 6-1 win over Werder Bremen earlier this week. And per earlier reportage, the Senegalese could miss the tournament, which begins on November 20.

Fatma, on the other hand, insists Mane must be present, with new sources also claiming that the 30-year-old will be part of the Senegalese squad.

Though Fatma is sceptical of the unorthodox treatment, she remains hopeful of a miracle.

On Europe 1, she stated:

“We are going to use witch doctors. I don’t know (if they’re effective) but in this instance, we’re going to use them anyway. We are hoping for miracles. He has to be there!”
