Police in Zimbabwe are investigating the murder of a 31-year-old football fan who was killed with a machete following an argument about Manchester United’s 4-0 loss to Brentford.
Vukile Nkomo was allegedly murdered on Saturday night after watching a football game with his brother at Fingo Bottle Store in the rural village of Mbembesi. Nkomo was attempting to defend his brother, who was arguing with another fan about the match.
After the game, the brother and a man named Sthembelani Tshuma reportedly argued. Nkomo’s assassin stormed out of the bottle store, heading straight home to retrieve his machete.
He returned later that evening and struck Nkomo with the blade, according to the Sunday News. His brother fled to a nearby shopping mall in an attempt to locate police officers who could help Nkomo.

Police are asking the public for any information that could lead to his arrest.
