‘Haaland is banging in hat-tricks, don’t go overboard with Gabriel Jesus’: Rio Ferdinand tells Arsenal to stop overhyping Jesus

Rio Ferdinand, former Manchester United defender, has advised Arsenal not to get carried away over Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal leads the table after winning their first five games. They have scored 12 goals in the process, with Gabriel Jesus scoring three of them.

Gabriel Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City for a fee of £40 million and has made an immediate impact. His goal per game ratio is excellent.

Rio Ferdinand, on the other hand, insists Arsenal should not go overboard with Gabriel Jesus, citing Halaand’s hat-tricks.

Rio Ferdinand speaking on his YouTube channel said:

I think that he has been a fantastic signing, an absolute major signing for Arsenal, but please don’t go overboard like all Arsenal fans do.

When you have got [Erling] Haaland banging in a hat-trick at the weekend and you are going, Oh, Jesus is overshadowing him still, what are you talking about?
