Despite being a natural centre back, Ben White has been outstanding in the right back role. With the loan return of William Saliba, Arteta needed to find a way to include White in his starting lineup. As a result, a compromise was reached by playing white at right back.

The gamble paid off, and White is now one of the league’s best right backs.

Agbonlahor has been a vocal critic of Ben White, claiming that Arsenal squandered £50 million on his services. But he appears to have reconsidered.

He stated via Football Insider:

“I want to apologize to Ben White. I’ve given him a bit of stick in the past year, but he’s been outstanding at right back. Nothing gets past him.”
