‘No Arsenal shirts allowed’: Bodo/Glimt have urged their supporters to avoid wearing Arsenal shirts ahead of Europa clash

Bodo/Glimt have urged their fans not to wear Arsenal shirts ahead of their Europa League match against Arsenal in Norway.

Mikel Arteta’s side defeated the Norwegian club 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium last week and have now travelled to the Arctic Circle for the rematch.

There are a lot of Arsenal fans in Norway, and Bodo/Glimt has asked fans at the Aspmyra Stadion not to wear Arsenal-branded clothing. This was revealed by the club in a statement:

“Arsenal items are prohibited in the home section.There are many Arsenal supporters in Norway and many have both Glimt and Arsenal close to their hearts.”

“Therefore, we see it as appropriate to remind that Arsenal effects are only allowed in the away section.This means that we will ask you to remove scarves, caps, t-shirts, jackets etc. if these have the Arsenal logo or similar on them.”

“However, we make an exception for match scarves or half’n half scarves as this has become a common thing in stadiums around the world. Half’n half scarves are the only exception.”

“PS! There will be some areas on the long sides where Arsenal are entitled to tickets. In these areas and from their guests, we will accept away effects.
