Gabriel Jesus has revealed shocking details about what referee Robert Jones told him during Arsenal’s match against Southampton.

Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw away from home at the Saint Mary’s Stadium. Granit Xhaka gave Arsenal the lead in the 11th minute.
Two minutes later, Gabriel Jesus had the opportunity to punt on a loose ball to put Arsenal ahead 2-0, but he was wrestled to the ground by a Saints player; referee Robert Jones saw nothing wrong with the challenge.

But, according to Jesus, referee Robert Jones told him that if he had gone down earlier, he would have awarded him a penalty.
Arsenal’s level dropped in the second half, allowing Southampton into the game and eventually equalised.
